For next week choose three possible topics for the oral exam from the list linked below. Further information about the oral exam can be found here.

For the next three weeks we will present a panel discussion/debate topics chosen from the same list. To this end we will form a groups of three or five students. One person should act as a moderator and first introduce the subject to be discussed.   The moderator should also act as a catalyst in inspiring a heated discussion. The others in the in the group should present a viewpoint taking different sides of the issue and also be able to comment critically on the viewpoints presented by the others. At the end the moderator should try to present a solution which takes into account the positions of the others.

At least one of the groups should decide on a topic and give their discussion next week. The other groups can decide on their topics next week and give their discussions the following week.
