Assignment—Free Markets Summary

For the next class meeting you should read a short essay, Free Market, by Murray N. Rothbard. Take notes while you're reading, and then afterwards use these notes selectively as the basis for writing a short (1 to 1 ½ pages) double-spaced and printed essay which takes the position that a free markets are the best way of organizing an economy. You can qualify this opinion (for example, using 'although' or 'even though'), but definitely discuss why free markets are good. This is just an exercise, and I'm not interested in what your opinion 'really' is. Spend no more than one hour in writing this essay, and use a spell checker. And, again, double space.

Use the voice of the author, i.e., simply repeat what he says in a condensed form. Do no use expressions like "in this text" or "the author says". Do not add information not found in the text.
